There are over 170 museums in Berlin with the most well known being Mauermuseum Haus am Checkpoint Charlie. This famous border crossing when the East and West were divided offers many interesting stories. The fall of the Berlin Wall will be recognized during 2009 as it will be the 20th anniversary.

Charlottenburg Palace and Park is a sight not to be missed when travelling to Berlin. The gorgeous palace offers a beautiful art collection and a stunning baroque park which are open to visitors all year round.

On the edge of lake Grunewaldsee is the Grunewald Hunting Lodge or Jagdschloss Grunewald which is the oldest palace in Berlin and definitely worth exploring!
